Engagement sessions are extremely important because it is a chance to get to know your photographer and get you comfortable in front of the camera! Think of it like meeting up with a new friend. The more you are around someone, or get to know them, the more comfortable you feel. This helps you so much on your wedding day because your photographer will feel more like a friend than a stranger.

Engagement sessions are such a good time to get you in front of the camera! My fiancé had not really ever had professional pictures taken before we got engaged so it helped him so much knowing what to expect for our wedding day. It shook the fears of what it would be like being in front of the camera doing all the “uncomfortable” poses, or so he thought, but we ended our session with him very excited to see the pics and not thinking it was near as bad as he imagined.
